Stories in Light and Motion

I photograph the South Island’s wild edge — where surf meets weather, and light turns ordinary moments into something fleeting and rare. From dawn sessions at remote West Coast breaks to quiet landscapes shaped by wind and sea, every image is about more than what was seen. It’s about what it felt like to be there.

My work focuses on motion — the rise and fall of a wave, a surfer suspended between balance and chaos, clouds sliding across a mountain face. These are not staged moments. They are split seconds that disappear as quickly as they arrive, captured so they can be felt again.

After five years behind the camera — and one working professionally — my photographs have been shown in local galleries, awarded, and printed in the newspaper. But most days you’ll still find me on the beach, waiting for the right light and the right wave, chasing the same quiet magic that made me start.

Every image in this collection was made here, on New Zealand’s South Island — a place that doesn’t give itself easily, but rewards patience with moments worth keeping.

Personal Projects

I'm currently developing a photo catalogue of Arthur's Pass National Park. I work to capture the breathtaking beauty of nature in every shot, showcasing its majestic landscapes and vibrant moments.

My Photography Journey

I grew up in the mountains of the Western United States, exploring wild places whenever I could. I visited New Zealand in 2023 and fell in love with her people and landscapes. I immigrated in 2024 and continue exploring this beautiful country.
